Glendalough Bat Day
A day of family bat fun awaits you in Glendalough next Thursday (August 12th). In the afternoon (2-4pm) at the Education Centre, primary aged children will enjoy an afternoon of nature-based activities. Although, an adult must stay with the children and be prepared to help. Booking is essential. Later, at 7.45pm, there will be an interactive talk about bats followed at 8.30pm by a bat walk (bring insect repellent and a torch). Rambler bus
The “Dublin Mountaineer” rambler bus is back on the road linking the Sandyford Luas green line with the Tallaght Luas red line via the Dublin Mountains. The service runs six times a day on weekends and bank holidays until the end of September, bringing walkers and ramblers to the heart of the mountains.
A daily hop-on, hop-off pass costs €5, while a family ticket (two adults, two children) costs €12. You can buy it on the bus.

Hill run
Get those leg muscles burning tomorrow in the Ballyhoura Hills, Ardpatrick, Co Limerick, with a trail/hill race.
Part of the Munster Irish Mountain Running Association league, the run is 10km long and involves 427m of climbing.
