Fly-fishing Sundays
Harvey’s Point Hotel,on Lough Eske in Co Donegal, has introductory fly-fishing courses, focusing on casting skills, every Sunday until the end of next month, plus a long weekend of tuition planned for September 20th. Treasure hunt
To tie in with Heritage Week, Wicklow Mountains National Park has organised a bit of crack for the lawns of Glendalough, with a family treasure hunt tomorrow week. For a donation of at least €5 to Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue, each team of up to two adults and four children receives a set of clues that they should be able to solve in about an hour. OSi competition
Ordnance Survey Ireland is celebrating its 185th anniversary by offering you a chance to win a framed historic map, from about 1840, and an aerial image of the area where you live.
