US Open The final Grand Slam of the season takes place from August 25th until September 7th at Flushing Meadows in New York.

Day or evening session tickets for the Arthur Ashe Stadium range in price from $22 to $80 (about €15-€50), while ground passes cost between $46 to $52 (about €30-€33). Individual tickets are being snapped up but a number of mini-plans, which allow entry into a combination of sessions, are available. The best of these is the $462 (almost €300) Championship Plan, covering September 2nd to 7th, and taking in both finals.
Another option is to consult the US Open Ticket Exchange ( www.usopen.org/tickets/openticketexchange.sps), where unwanted tickets are sold. The exchange was set up this year following changes to New York laws regarding the resale of tickets.
Australian Open The first Grand Slam of the year is the Australian Open in Melbourne, which runs next year from January 19th until February 1st.
For this year's event, single session tickets started at $44.90 Australian (about €28) for the Rod Laver Arena, but rose to as much as $249.90 (€150) for the finals. Ground passes started at $19.

French Open The premier clay court competition on the schedule will be held between May 24th and June 7th at Roland Garros, Paris.
Keith Prowse Travel's one-night deals for this year, which included reserved seating for the main Philippe Chatrier Court, started at €332 per person. Their packages for 2009 will be released in October, while Sportsbreaks ( www.sportsbreaks.ie, 061-204444) also plans to offer trips next year.
A reservation period for tickets for the 2009 tournament begins in November. A lottery will then take place in late spring, and any remaining tickets will go on sale at Roland Garros in mid-May. More information from Roland Garros on 00-33-1-474-34800, www.fft.fr/rolandgarros.
Wimbledon As well as Keith Prowse, a number of Irish operators offered deals for Wimbledon last year, with Sportsbreaks.ie again planning packages for next June's tournament.
The majority of tickets for the main courts are sold in advance via a public ballot, and application forms for the 2009 draw will be available at www.wimbledon.org from August 1st. A limited number of tickets are sold on each day of the competition.
