Hotel brain boost

We have heard of bed butlers and personal shoppers, sleep concierges, artists in residence and even a book butler in the Westin Dublin, but how about a neuroscientist in residence? The Corinthia Hotel in London has appointed Dr Tara Swart to study how to achieve mental resilience for the hotel industry and guests in a unique study. Dr Swart, leadership coach and senior lecturer at MIT, will examine the mental resilience of each group to analyse how they cope with stress. The data will generate a special Brain Power Study. There will also be a series of talks for guests looking at the science of the brain.

BA credit card fee

British Airways has announced that from December 14th it will be charging a 1 per cent credit card fee on bookings up to a maximum of £20. It currently charges £5 on all bookings. The fee will stay the same in Ireland. So, to avoid the extra credit card charge and also the costly Air Passenger Duty, from the UK, you can originate bookings from Ireland on the BA reservation system. There can be considerable savings.
