Fun and games at Powerscourt
The Slazenger family is celebrating 50 years in business at Powerscourt Estate with a weekend of activities on October 1st and 2nd. There will be yoga in the walled garden, an art show in the ballroom, wine tastings, gardening tips, children’s games, a colouring competition run by Avoca, and the newly opened Museum of Childhood featuring the 22-room dolls house, Tara’s Palace. The cost of many events is included in the entry price to Powerscourt Gardens.
New partnership
Aer Lingus, ClickandGo.com and the Travel Department have formed a partnership to sell holidays on the Aer Lingus website. Holidays with Aer Lingus will give travellers the option to book flights, transfers and accommodation in one transaction. The service will be fully bonded and licensed.
Holidays on offer will include sun spots, citybreaks, cruises and escorted tours. Examples of prices for a holiday in Costa del Sol and the Algarve during October midterm are less than €300pps in self-catering and four-night citybreaks to Amsterdam from €218. The site is operational and consumers can combine Aer Lingus sale fares with accommodation.
