App to keep the kids happy around Ireland
A Galway-based, mother-of-two has launched a digital mobile app for parents.
The app Ireland: Are We There Yet?is the brainchild of Ann Brehony, and features more than 130 places to visit in Ireland with children, including a listing of free outdoor play areas.
Covering the island both North and South from the Rock of Cashel to the Giant’s Causeway, there are plenty of new attractions from Aunt Sandra’s Candy Factory in Belfast to the Toy Soldier Factory in Kilnamartyra village, near Macroom in Co Cork.
The app costs €2.39 and is published by Sutro Media. It’s available through the App Store.
Mobile phone as boarding pass
SAS passengers can now use their mobile phones as a boarding pass at Dublin Airport.
Once passengers have checked in via text or through the SAS Mobile Portal, they will receive a mobile boarding pass direct to their phone.
Passengers can then proceed straight to security at the airport, without having to print out boarding passes.
The 2D bar code can also be used where appropriate to gain lounge access, when registering luggage at the SAS self service kiosks, and for fast track security access.
