At the Bewley's Café Theatre from Monday Waiting for IKEA explores the relationship between gossip-sharing friends. Before it arrives at The Gaiety as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival in October, Galway theatre-goers can catch Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night at the Town Hall Theatre from Wednesday until September 29th. This Druid production stars James Cromwell (The Queen, LA Confidential), Michael Esper and Marie Mullen. www.druidtheatre.com. Galway and Derry contest the Minor final at 1:30pm tomorrow in Croke Park before the All-Ireland Senior Football Final between Cork and Kerry at 3:30pm. After the less-than-stellar performance against Namibia, Ireland's second Rugby World Cup pool-D fixture is against Georgia at 9pm tonight. The business end of proceedings begins on Friday as we take on hosts France. The Autumn festival of racing at the Curragh includes the Irish Field St Leger today and tomorrow's Bank of Scotland National Stakes.
