Algiers - Government troops have shot dead 10 Muslim rebels in separate attacks in Algeria and one soldier was killed by a roadside bomb this week, newspapers reported yesterday.
"Six terrorists were eliminated by an army patrol on Tuesday in Relizane 300 km west of Algiers," said the Arabic daily, El Khabar. The paper said troops gunned down four other rebels - two in the capital Algiers and two in the town of Boumerdes 70 km east of the capital on Tuesday.
