Ecstasy worth around €100,000 has been found taped to the body of a man at Dublin Airport.

Customs officers discovered the illegal drug concealed in two packages taped to the inner thighs of a 29-year-old man who arrived on a flight from Amsterdam on Monday.

The man originally from Aruba in the Caribbean, who now holds a Dutch passport, was questioned by the Garda Drugs Unit based in Santry.

Customs said the man had appeared in court and investigations were ongoing.
