Adelaide - Australian police yesterday unearthed the 10th victim in the "bank vault" murders, the nation's worst serial killings, and still believe the death toll will climb to 11. Police excavated an Adelaide back yard where they had already unearthed the body of one person, believing another victim was buried deeper underground. "We have found a second body at this location," Det. Supt Paul Schramm told reporters at the house.
Police had earlier discovered nine bodies, eight in drums in a disused bank vault in a small country town and one in the back yard in the working-class suburb of Salisbury North.
