London - Thousands of people who have written to the British government about the Pinochet case support the former Chilean dictator's extradition to Spain by 10-1, Home Office Minister of State, Lord Williams of Mostyn, disclosed last night.
The Home Office and Foreign Office had received about 12,000 letters expressing views about the matter, he said in a House of Lords written reply. But he added the Home Office had received one petition signed by 100,000 people in Chile urging that Gen Augusto Pinochet be allowed to return home.
