A Coleraine man, convicted of the sectarian shooting of a Catholic living in the same mainly Protestant estate, was jailed for 12 years yesterday at Belfast Crown Court. The victim was shot in the back on April 14th last year by an unmasked gunman who stood on the pavement and fired four shots into the man's livingroom in the Ballysally estate. Samuel Hugh Bolton (24), from Hazeldene Drive, Ballysally, was convicted of maliciously wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
