London - Police arrested 13 suspected paedophiles during a series of dawn raids yesterday in the largest crackdown against Internet child pornography in Britain.
The Metropolitan Police's paedophile unit co-ordinated the raids, which involved 13 local police forces in England and Scotland. Officers said they arrested 13 people and recovered 27 computers and thousands of photographs, videos and magazines.
The operation came a week after British police announced they had broken up the world's largest known paedophile ring, an Internet operation known as the Wonderland Club.
