Some 180 new jobs are being created by supermarket giant Asda when it opens on a new site in Strabane, Co Tyrone next month.
The first purpose-built store for the chain in Northern Ireland , it is double the size of the existing store in the border town.
Boasting the latest design format, the 'green' store will reduce its carbon emissions by 8.6 per cent through the use of a combined heat and power system which reclaim all waste heat and transfer it for use in heating the store.
General store manager Eugene Teague said: "We are delighted to be delivering a number of environmentally friendly initiatives within the design of the store."
