Det Sgt George McGeary told Dublin District Court he arrested both at Rathgar Road yesterday morning when he met them by appointment.

They were taken to Rathmines Garda station where, after they were charged, both made no reply.

The court heard there was no objection to bail for the accused and the State was seeking a 12week remand for preparation of a book of evidence.

Judge Miriam Malone set their own bonds of £300 each and remanded them to appear again on September 19th.

She made it a condition of the bail that they reside at their home addresses. She also granted free legal aid.
