The Garda is investigating two weekend rapes in north Dublin.
In one incident, a woman in her 30s was attacked while returning to her apartment in North Brunswick Street at about 3 a.m. on Saturday. A man approached her and started talking to her and then pushed his way into the foyer of her building, according to gardai. The man hit the woman, who fell and struck her head and became briefly unconscious.
Gardai investigating a separate incident involving a 19-year-old woman at a house on the North Circular Road at 5 a.m. on Saturday, have arrested and released a man. A file has been sent to the DPP.
