At least 27 people were killed when a fuel tanker truck exploded in flames during a collision with a minibus near Kampala, Ugandan police said.
"We don't think anyone survived in the minibus," said a police spokesman, adding the vehicle was estimated to be carrying 25 people at the time of the incident yesterday evening 20 miles east of the capital.
Two people in a small passenger car that also hit the truck were also killed, he said, adding he had no immediate word on the whereabouts or condition of the driver of the fuel truck.
