Amsterdam - Three young Dutch football players died returning from a match on Saturday, sustaining massive head injuries after their bus swept under a height control on a motorway near Rotterdam, police said yesterday.
The three young amateur players, aged between 18 and 25, from Huizen north of Amsterdam, had pushed their heads through the emergency exit roof hatch of their doubledecker bus before it passed under the heavy steel beam on the A15 motorway. A police spokesman said the three men died instantly after hitting the solid steel beam.
