Several people were treated in hospital today after a fire broke out in an apartment block in Dublin's north inner city.
The blaze damaged several floors and stairwells of the building in Mountjoy Square.
Thirty people were evacuated and several required treatment in hospital for smoke inhalation but none was in a serious condition.
A spokesman for Dublin Fire Brigade said the blaze broke out in numbers 1 and 2 Mountjoy Square, which had been converted into flats. Several units were called to tackle the fire, which took more than an hour to bring under control.
