A 44-year-old South African man has been arrested in connection with a seizure of herbal cannabis at Dublin Airport earlier today.
Officers from the Revenue Customs Service seized approximately 15kg of the drug with an estimated street value of €38,000. The drugs were concealed in a false compartment of a holdall.
He is now the twentieth person travelling from South Africa who has been stopped and arrested on suspicion of importing herbal cannabis at Dublin Airport since January.
The man had travelled from Johannesburg via Frankfurt before being arrested in Dublin Airport.

Of the twenty stopped at Dublin Airport, 17 were males and three were females. Not all of the twenty were South African nationals.
