London - A £5 coin commemorating the life of the Princess of Wales looks certain to be minted later this year, it emerged last night. The idea came from a member of the public and was submitted to the Diana Memorial Committee, chaired by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Gordon Brown. Mr Brown liked the idea and has approved it and, although it still has to go before Queen Elizabeth, it is expected that she, too, will back the minting of a new coin. --(PA)
