London - Beer lovers will be able to pick their pints from a selection of more than 500 different brews at the Great British Beer Festival opening this week.
Those on offer range from the exotic sounding Copper Winkle, White Dolphin and Heather Ale to the less appealing Old Crustacean and German Smoked - made from smoked malt.
More than 42,000 devotees are expected to swill their way through the barrels and bottles of 300 home-grown British ales and 200 from abroad representing five continents. - (PA)
