Madrid - Police arrested seven suspected ETA Basque separatists yesterday and seized dynamite in the latest crackdown on the violent organisation.
"We are talking about (ETA) units that could act at any time in any part of Spanish territory," the Interior Minister, Mr Mariano Rajoy, said. Two of the suspects were thought to belong to the Ekin group, considered to be ETA's clandestine strategy unit, and may be linked to a car bomb that exploded in northern Spain on Sunday, injuring several people, he said.
