Gardai in Cork made about 70 arrests during the weekend jazz festival.
Most were for relatively minor offences and concerned drunkenness. The worst trouble was on Saturday night when 56 people were arrested. In one episode a Garda wagon parked in Cook Street in the city centre was surrounded and kicked.
On Sunday night 14 more people were taken into custody. There were a couple of arrests under the Drugs Act, but gardai said the attendance at the festival was well behaved.
About 40,000 people thronged into the city for the event, which generates about £6 million worth of revenue for the city.
