Boy meets girl, boy forms band (The Tourists) with girl, boy and girl become an item. Band breaks up, boy and girl break up, but decide to keep working together as Eurythmics. Boy and girl become hugely successful, but after numerous worldwide hits and massive stadium tours, boy and girl can't stand the sight of each other, so they both go their separate ways. And there the love-hate story of Eurythmics might have ended, with Annie Lennox going on to produce two successful solo albums, Diva and Medusa, and Dave Stewart getting involved in a wide range of projects.
However, the pair renewed contact in 1997, began writing songs together, and soon discovered that the musical chemistry was still there.
The success of their comeback single, I Saved The World Today, proves that the world hasn't forgotten them, and their show at the Point on Wednesday is part of a world tour which takes Eurythmics round the globe for the first time in 10 years.
