London - A baby girl abandoned in a plastic bag in an alley was killed after an unsuspecting motorist ran over her, English police said last night. The baby is thought to have been between 10 and 15 days old. Police are appealing for the mother to come forward. They have not traced the driver who they believe would not have realised what had happened.
The body was found at 8 a.m. on October 8th, in Lynton Avenue, off Collier Row, Romford, Essex. A police spokeswoman said: "The baby was naked but was wrapped in a pink and white towel, blue tissue paper and a Tesco carrier bag. It appears that she had been left in the alleyway sometime on the night before."
