Aer Lingus cabin crew have this evening accepted pay proposals from the company, bringing their long-running dispute to an end.
The 1,400 cabin crew, represented by the IMPACT union, voted in favour of the new pay deal by 61 per cent.
According to Mr Bernard Harbour, spokesman for IMPACT, many of the strikers will receive a minimum increase of £2,000 a year to their salary, while others "will do much better" in accordance with their level of experience at the company.
He said cabin crew had also accepted a reviewed pension scheme, but agreement on working conditions has been deferred for future discussion.
An Aer Lingus spokesman welcomed the outcome of the ballot, and said that the company looked forward to cooperating with the staff on a review of work practices.
