From April 1st, Aer Lingus and the Spanish carrier Iberia will co-operate on routes between Ireland and Spain. Under a code-sharing agreement, both carriers will give each other's flights priority in their respective reservations systems.
Aer Lingus will operate a daily flight to Madrid, with onward connections on Iberia domestic flights to cities such as Alicante, Malaga and Seville. Iberia will offer a daily service to Madrid and Barcelona, emphasising Madrid as a gateway city for routes to South America.
