Aer Lingus today reported a 1.9 per cent increase in passenger traffic in October on the back of several new routes and an expansion of its fleet of aircraft.
The airline carried 904,000 last month, 3.8 per cent more than the 871,000 reported for the same period last year, the company said in a Regulatory News Service statement.
However, the load factor, or proportion of seats filled, fell 4.7 per cent to 73.3 per cent.
