Former taoiseach Bertie Ahern discussed "international hot issues" in China with members of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs recently, according to the organisation's website, writes Mary Minihan.
Mr Ahern travelled to China in April at the invitation of the institute, where he also met representatives of the China Investment Corp. Mr Ahern could not be reached for comment yesterday.
