The Taoiseach, Mr Ahern is to meet with the British Prime Minister Mr Tony Blair tomorrow evening in London to discuss the peace process stalemate, it was announced today.

Mr Ahern will have a working dinner with Mr Blair in Downing Street to take stock of the situation in Northern Ireland and to discuss the next step to help break the deadlock in the peace process, a Government spokesman said.

He said the meeting follows the intensive negotiations with all parties pursued over the last week.

During the talks, Mr Ahern and Mr Blair are expected to decide how they can facilitate the search for agreement on the key issues impeding an agreement - polcing, demilitarisation and decommissioning.
