Sports fans will be on the move this weekend with a choice of major events at the State's top sporting venues to choose from.
Although Met Éireann is predicting rain for most areas, at some point over the weekend, this is not expected to reduce the crowds at Croke Park, the Curragh or the K Club.
The All-Ireland football final at Croke Park will bring the usual heavy crowd. Kerry will take on Roscommon in the minor final and that kicks off at 1.30pm. Kerry's senior team are up against Mayo in the senior final at 3.30pm.
Expect traffic delays on the N21, the N7, N4 and N6, as well as congestion around the ground.
There will be racing at the Curragh on both Saturday and Sunday, however, the big fixture is the Irish Field St Leger on Saturday afternoon. All access roads are expected to be busy for much of the weekend.
With the Ryder Cup due to tee off on Monday, this weekend will see all the officials and support staff arriving at the K Club in Co Kildare. This means extra traffic volume around the Straffan area.
From midnight on Sunday there will also be a five mile cordon around Straffan which will stay in place for one week. Only residents and others with official permits will be allowed entry.
Spectators can either get a taxi, be dropped by private car, or drive to one of the two Park/Ride venues and leave their car there. They will then be able to get a shuttle from there to the course by showing their Ryder Cup ticket to gain access to the shuttle bus.
If you are planning to get away this weekend, there is a warning to ferry passengers to allow extra time to get to Dublin Port due to ongoing roadworks in and around Dublin City.
