Something wrong here, surely? The Assembly elections last weekend saw misogyny raise its head in the North once again. In Lagan Valley, Robert David Campbell of the Ulster Unionist Party, was placed before Annie Campbell of the Women's Coalition on the ballot paper. The same order occurred in South Down, where the SDLP's Hugh Carr was listed above Anne Carr, also WC. Was this done on purpose? Or do they just not think? It might not have made any difference to the candidates' fate but successful SDLP candidate Patricia Lewsley said the explanation was a polling mix-up. "It is absolutely ridiculous that it was allowed to happen," and the electoral office should be "firmly rapped on the knuckles". She shouldn't hold her breath.
