The parents of a special constable murdered by the IRA have mounted a jail protest over the downgrading of the security status of their son's killer.
It has been confirmed that Paul Magee, who was sentenced to life in March 1993 for the shooting of Constable Glenn Goodman in north Yorkshire, is being held in Full Sutton Prison, near York, where the Special Secure Unit has been shut down and IRA prisoners' security status downgraded.
The special constable's parents, Mr Brian and Mrs Margaret Goodman, travelled to Full Sutton to confront Mr Phil Wheatley, the Home Office's director of prison dispersals.
