Anti-bin charges protesters are to picket the four waste lorry depots in the greater Dublin area tomorrow to ask union members of the waste collections services to join their campaign.
A spokesman for the anti-bin tax campaign said they would be asking the workers to implement the policy of union leaders and support the protests. He said leaflets explaining the campaign would be distributed but stressed that lorries would not be prevented from leaving the depots.
He said a number of people had their names taken yesterday for breaking the High Court injunction not to interfere with the waste collection services following a protest on the Navan Rd. He added that these people were expecting to receive summonses.
Socialist Party deputy Mr Joe Higgins and Cllr Clare Daly were jailed two weeks ago for their part in the protests.
Last week, High Court judge Mr Justice Dan Herbert decided not to fine or jail nine objectors for alleged contempt of court in the Fingal area.
