Gardaí in Co Kildare have appealed for witnesses to a fatal hit and run incident. A 60-year-old man died yesterday following the incident in Sallins village.
The man, who has not yet been named, was walking on the Naas to Clane road at about 12.30am on Monday when he was knocked down.
He was taken to Naas hospital, but was pronounced dead there later. Gardaí have appealed to the driver of a white van seen in the village at about the time of the incident to contact them on (045) 884300 or on 1800 666111.
