Gardai have appealed for information following a robbery Cornelsourt Shopping Centre in south Co Dublin yesterday.
Two men are alleged to have been involved in the incident just after 4 pm, during which a security company employee was forced at gunpoint to open ATM machines. The employee was then bound and gagged, and a substantial amount of cash was taken. The man raised the alarm after freeing himself.
Gardaí at Cabinteely are currently examining CCTV footage and are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area before and after the incident to contact them.
They issued descriptions of the two suspects. One 20-25 years old and 5 ft 9 in, of stocky build. He wore blue trousers, grey hooded sweater, a black scarf around his face and carried a black pistol-type firearm with a silver handle.
The second man is between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 6 ft 3in/6 ft 4in, with dark eyes. He was wearing a black leather jacket with a hood. Detectives said both men had Irish accents.
