More than 30 Argos outlets face having pickets placed outside them for a second time this month, the trade union Mandate warned today.
In a statement Mandate said it planned was planning industrial action for Tuesday December 18th.
The action is part of a row over pay. The workers at the catalogue retailer are seeking a 10 per cent or 90 cents per hour pay rise.
The Mandate union mainly represents relatively low-paid retail and bar workers and it withdrew from social partnership last year after claiming that national pay deals had favoured public servants.
Last Saturday Argos Argos brought in workers from the UK to operate picketed stores.
Linda Tanham, Mandate assistant general secretary said that from listening to the workers during the last few days, "it would seem that the company's actions have strengthened the resolve of the workers in their fight for a decent living wage."
