Gardai investigating the suspicious death of a 43-year-old woman from south inner Dublin are expected to make an arrest in relation to the case shortly, writes Jim Cusack, Security Correspondent.
Ms Catherine Mullins is understood to have died from neck injuries as a result of an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning. A man alerted neighbours in the Fatima Mansions flats complex. They called an ambulance and she was taken to St James's Hospital where she was declared dead.
Ms Mullins, who had been separated from her husband for several years, was a well-known resident of the flats complex, according to local people. She had no children.
A murder investigation was started after the death was reported to gardai in Kevin Street station, but detectives will have to determine whether Ms Mullins was killed intentionally or died as a result of other circumstances.
