Arsenal have completed the signing of Japanese international Junichi Inamoto from J-League club Gamba Osaka.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who has 22 senior caps for his country, was part of the successful team that won both the Asian Cup and Kirin Cupthis year.
Arsenal will not disclose the fee they have paid for Inamoto, but it is believed to be around £4 million sterling.Inamoto will go straight on duty for theGunners, leaving with them for Austria where they play three pre-season friendly matches.
For manager Arsene Wenger, who joined Arsenal in September 1996 from Japanese club Nagoya Grampus 8, it is his fifth signing of the closeseason.
He has tracked Inamoto for some time, confirming his interest in the player when attending the Confederations Cup Tournament in the FarEast last month.
