An Asian greengrocer's shop was petrol bombed in Burnley early this morning in what is believed to be a racially motivated attack.
No-one was injured in the incident in Briercliffe Road at 12.45.
"It was quickly dealt with by the fire brigade and caused relatively minor damage," Lancashire Police said.
"The incident is being treated as racially motivated and police are investigating," a spokeswoman said.
Elsewhere in the town there were petrol bomb attacks on two cars in the Padiham area.
Police were called shortly after 1.30 a.m. to reports of a fire underneath a vehicle in Victoria Road.
As officers dealt with that incident they were alerted to another car which had been set alight in nearby Milton Street.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the two attacks. PA
