Kuala Lumpur - Drugs, currency and Cambodia were key issues as foreign ministers of Asian and western powers met under the ASEAN umbrella yesterday.
Russia called for international co-operation, including a data base, to fight the global narcotics trade, while the US condemned Burma as a major drug centre threatening regional stability.
But a mission from the nine-member Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) to help end Cambodia's political crisis remained in limbo until the Cambodian strongman, Mr Hun Sen, clarified what sort of mediation he might accept. - (Reuter)
