At least 27 people have died in a spate of violent attacks in Iraq today, including seven labourers shot dead by gunmen in Mosul.
A car bomb exploded near a market in a town south of Baghdad, killing at least 11 people and wounding 23.
The blast occurred in a busy street in the town of Mahmudiya, near a Shia mosque.
Earlier, four people were killed when a car bomb exploded outside a mosque in eastern Baghdad.
Elsewhere, gunmen opened fire on a bus carrying civilians north of Baghdad today, killing five and wounding four, police said.
The attack took place in the town of Baquba, some 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad.
Ethnically mixed Baquba has been hit several times by sectarian violence.
Gunmen have also killed seven labourers working in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
A police official said he suspected they were killed because they worked for the police department.
