At least eight people were killed and 18 are missing after a massive landslide swept through several houses in a Nepal village today.
The incident, triggered by heavy rains, occurred near the resort town of Pokhara, 125 km west of Kathmandu.
"Rescue workers have recovered eight bodies from the site and the search for others is on," a police officer told journalists.
Landslides and floods are common in Nepal during the annual monsoon season, which began in June and will end in September.
