The Irish team to compete in next month’s World Athletics Championships was confirmed this afternoon. The 19 strong squad will travel to Edmonton where the world’s elite will compete from August 3rd - 12th.
The squad is due to leave Dublin for Canada this Sunday and will include David Nolan and Daniel Caulfield who both achievedtheir qualifying standards at Santry over the weekend. Sonia O’Sullivan, silver medalist at the Sydney Olympics, is not in the squad as she is expecting her second child.
