Gardaí are investigating the theft of a cash machine from a truck stop in Co Kildare.
Thieves made off with an unknown sum of cash after taking the ATM from the Mother Hubbard's restaurant in Moyvalley, Co Kildare at about 2am.
A significant amount of damage was caused when they removed the machine from the premises, using a digger that was located at the back of the restaurant.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them at Leixlip Garda station on 01 6667800 or the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111.
