Detectives were tonight investigating the attempted abduction of a schoolgirl in Armagh city.
The 12-year-old was walking down Barrick Hill when a small, dark-coloured car stopped beside her.
The driver, who was around 30 and had long blond hair, twice asked the girl to get in the vehicle but she refused.
Police said there was a line of traffic behind the car when the incident happened, around 6pm, and appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
