Attraction will attempt the rare feat of winning both the English and Irish 1000 Guineas, it has been revealed today.
Trainer Mark Johnston and owner the Duke of Roxburghe have decided their star filly will head to the Boylesports-sponsored Classic at the Curragh on Sunday, May 23rd.
A statement from Johnston's Middleham stable today read: "Mark Johnston and the Duke of Roxburghe have agreed on running plans for Attraction.
"She will be aimed for the Irish 1000 Guineas, provided that the ground at the Curragh is no softer than good.
"The filly is extremely well after her Newmarket win and cantered for the first time this morning."
The daughter of Efisio gave a brilliant front-running performance in the UltimateBet.com 1000 Guineas at Newmarket last Sunday to defeat Sundrop by half a length. That stretched her unbeaten run to six, on what was her first race for 10 months.
She had been off the track since last July, first with a knee problem and then after fracturing a pedal bone following her victory in the Cherry Hinton Stakes over Newmarket's July course.
