Australasian golf champion Aaron Baddeley (19) has been invited to play in next month's US Masters tournament at Augusta, his management said today.
Baddeley successfully defended his Australian Open title in his home town of Melbourne in November. He also won the Greg Norman International in Sydney in a playoff against Spain's Sergio Garcia last month.
Baddeley is in Fort Lauderdale in Florida where he is preparing for this week's Honda Classicas the teenager tries to win enough prize money to secure a US Tour playing card for 2002.
Baddeley, who turns 20 on St Patrick’s Day, will play seven tournaments on the US Tour this year, management spokeswoman Jenny Whelan said.
