VIENNA – Two youths discovered more than €10,000 in an envelope and handed the money in to the Salzburg lost and found bureau yesterday, officials in the Austrian city said.

“We were surprised ourselves by the size of the find,” bureau head Kurt Hinteregger said. “That doesn’t happen every day.” The youths, described as 15-year-old pupils from Feldkirch in western Austria who were on a school trip, get to keep the money if the rightful owner does not show up within a year. – (Reuters)
